Hey there I hope you are having a nice sunday,

Today we opened the Custom Server zone in our forums. So what’s this for? Everbody is free to advertise his / her Modpack and / or server in there. We hope to help you gain some more publicity for your creations with that. Aside from that, this is our next step to become more of an open gaming network where everyone can participate. Heh and for the creative ones out there, we will reward the best posts!

The best running modpack on our network currently is “Steve’s Adventure Craft”. This modpack is all about exploring the world as “Steve” and surviving nature, all this comes paired with a careful selection of tech and magic mods.

The modpack has been called “Steve’s Adventure Pack” before but that one has unfortunately been deleted by the Technic Platform. The reason for this is completely unknown to us, but we got a replacement pack up and running within a few hours. If you still use “Steve’s Adventure Pack” to join the server, make sure to update to the replacement pack, because the old one will not be updated anymore / will be incompatible with the server soon. When getting the new pack, make sure to migrate your maps waypoints and singleplayer maps to the new one.

Another great project is our “Pure Vanilla” server, which has just recently received an update to Minecraft 1.10. Additionally to that we finally added GriefPrevention and do our best to manage the server now. The “Pure Vanilla” project just started as an experiment months ago but the overwhelming support of the community motivated us to take that project to the next level. We are looking forward to a growing community and have some nice plans to make the server even more interesting in the future. If you are playing on the server and want us to help out, make sure to apply for a position as a staff member.

Our ticket system has received a small update and you can now open general tickets if you encounter technical issues with our services. Before opening a new ticket, make sure that the issue is not on your side (our experience has shown that a complete reboot of your computer and modem solves most issues already). If you encounter an issue with a specific modpack which we (Unitedworldminers) did not create and only host, please contact the modpack author with your regards, not us.

Using our ticket system helps us to respond to your messages faster.

Small changes:

• Drop a Youtube link into a post and it will get embedded auto-magically

So what’s next?

• Some small updates / changes to our website
• Forum update
• Update to “Pure Vanilla”
• Upcoming newsletter subscription service (if you want to be notified when something new is coming)
• Some changes behind the shades which you’ll not see but you might notice in overall better performance
• Even more modpacks and servers are coming up

I’ll do my best to continue this series every Sunday to inform you about what’s currently going on. If you don’t want to miss any news, we highly recommend signing up for our forums.

I am sorry but the efforts for giving everyone his things back is way too high. It would take us longer checking everyones claims and giving it back, than people getting their things back themselves. The problem is that if we claim giving things back everybody will come to us and demand things which ends in chaos. I hope you can understand this.

I apologize again for the inconvenience involved in this and we do our best to avoid something like this to ever happen again.

This section can be used to advertise your modpack. Please make sure to follow these rules:

Title

• Your post’s title must contain your modpack’s/server’s name.

Description

• Your post must contain:
  • a description of your modpack,
  • a link to get your modpack from, and
  • at least one relevent screenshot

Tags

• Please put tags in the “tags” area below your post where it says “Enter tags here, between 3 and 20 characters each”. You can put up to 8 tags.
  • Some ideas for tags include: Server, 1.7.10, Tech, Adventure, Magic, etc…

Servers or modpacks with built-in servers

• If you advertise your server here, additionally to the information above, you must include:
  • The tag: Server
  • The server’s IP (+ port if needed) / Domain (if SRV record is used) in the description

Tips

• Be creative, make your post stand out! (not a must but highly recommended - we will reward good posts)
• Include your pack’s logo at the top of your post if possible to make your post more interesting
• Use Emojis to compliment your description where relevent.
• Avoid having a short description (a couple of lines is considered short) as it looks lazily done

Hey there,

it has been six days since the last status update but quite some things have happened.

Due to a misunderstanding in the team yesterday (08.06.2016), the world border has been set as low as 10.000 blocks (from X:0 Z:0) which rendered some peoples homes (imDray, BlackHolePVP, 678chase and most likely more) inaccessible. This issue has been resolved and the world border has been set to 200.000 blocks (center: X:0 Z:0), which is plenty of space! We apologize for the inconvenience and thank all players for their understanding.

The next thing that has changed is the Minecraft version. As you might have noticed, Mojang released Minecraft 1.10 yesterday. We have already updated our server to the latest and greatest version of Minecraft for you, to enjoy the next stable version of Minecraft.

Most noticeable changes in 1.10:

• Added Polar Bear (Watch out!)
• Added Husk and Stray
• Auto-jump option
• Added Magma Block
• Added Nether Wart Block and Red Nether Bricks
• Endermen have been spotted in the Nether

Other changes:

• Respawn bug has been fixed, you now properly spawn at your beds location (reported by @imDray)
• Improved the broadcasted messages which shall now be a bit “smoother”
• The forum topic for “Minecraft 1.9” has been renamed to “Pure Minecraft 1.10” which is a more fitting name
• New icon for the topic (thanks to Darius Dan for the nice graphic) plus a new background for the forums topic
• A suggestion by @imDray who asked us to add a death counter to the tab menu has been implemented f :) So press tab and compare against others.
