This almost sounds as a late april fools joke but this is awesome! I hope that you keep up on this. I’ll do my best to support you “marketing” this when we are ready for this. Let me know if you need any help on this.

Also how exactly are you involved into the development?

Hey there,
This is our first newsletter, containing some information about the recent Technicpack issues.

One of our scripts which periodically checks if the Tekkit Legends modpack has been updated has been going crazy last night. So when I woke up, I got about 100+ mails that there has been an update.

This led me into doing some research so I opened up technicpack.net which presented me this:

which in most cases means “something bad is failing”.

A quick research on Technics official Discord got me these info’s:

So to sum this up shortly, one of Technics admins accounts (may it be their Solder or platforms account) has been compromised and the person who got access started deleting modpacks. Most likely the official modpacks which caused our script to recognize the change within five minutes. To avoid any further damage and investigate into the issue, the Technic team shut down the servers temporary.

Everyone shall show their understanding and don’t force them to work faster, please be kind to them. Every modpack that is still installed in your launcher can still be played. But keep in mind you cannot re-download any pack currently.

To play Tekkit Legends, download this zip and extract it’s contents to your Tekkit Legends root (/main) folder. After this restart your Technic Launcher and click on “Play”.

@Paint_Ninja Uhh getting exited. Any details on this?

@imDray Just as a short info, all your suggestions are not forgotten. As stated in the latests announcement a big server update is coming next month :)

@AquaDuck I can recommend you our Pure Vanilla Minecraft server. It is a project which is aimed to last really long. We are building the server with the community :)

Server has been updated to Minecraft 1.10.2. You can still use your Minecraft 1.10 client to connect to the server. I recommend using the latest Minecraft version.

A general overhaul of the server will be coming mid July.

@Paint_Ninja Great! We shall open a tread for your shaders here in the forums. I mean they are awesome, especially for computers that don’t have a GTX 970 or higher ;)

Hey there @AquaDuck after all the other comments here I’d also like to try my best to help you.

Could you tell us how the server and / or modpack was called you were playing which you can’t connect to the server with now?

We currently don’t run any server on port 25594 so we need a little more information.

Sonic Ether has just uploaded some preview images for the upcoming version 11.0 of his awesome shaders. New features will be volumetric clouds, improved water and beautiful shadow mapping. Can’t wait to test it!
