Type /publish in-game to open your single player world to a random port on your LAN (local area network). Anyone on the same Wi-Fi or wired network connection as you will be able to join your world using the local IP and port provided after you typed the publish command.

Opening to LAN does not mean your single player world is suddenly playable worldwide, or anywhere outside the network connection or router you’re currently connected to.

Rent a server from a Minecraft host with at least 2GB of RAM for most modpacks to be able to run on it (with the exception of some extremely lightweight packs, like CraftMine and maybe even Tekkit Lite). It 'aint cheap though… :/

If you have a really low ping time (below 50ms) and an upload speed above 3Mb/sec, you can make the /publish command work outside your home’s network reliably without too much lag by opening all ports on your router. This isn’t an easy process though, but at least it’s free. You can check your ping time here and your internet upload speed here. If you don’t meet the requirements I said above, it may still work but could be very stuttery and laggy with rubber banding occurring.

Alternatively, just play on the official server that’s built-in on the multiplayer list of Steve’s Adventure Pack. That would be the easiest way and wouldn’t cost you anything.

@Monsterjj15 There is a guide to getting the best performance possible on CraftMine, but not Steve’s Adventure pack.

However, you can use the following points/tips in the CraftMine guide for any modpack:

                  • “Get the latest 64bit Java”
                  • “Upgrade your graphics card or integrated graphics unit”
                  • “And finally… upgrade your CPU (desktops only)”

Please note that those points above are not settings-related, but general things you can do which will improve the performance of all games without needing to change settings.

For better performance in Steve’s Adventure Pack solely by changing settings, go to Esc -> Options -> Video settings and set Render distance to anything below 8. The lower the number, the less distance you can see but the faster the game will run. However, just changing settings won’t make as much difference as doing the points above too! ;)
