We are now finished with our performance improvements.
In the process we removed all (about 3800) wind generators from the main map as they were one of the major causes of lag which can be easily removed. They will be blocked from crafting and you will no longer be able to place them in the future. If you find any remaining ones on the server, you have my permission to remove them.
We are now generating the new worlds (Farm, Nether & End) which will take us another few hours.
We will notify you here as soon as we are finished. I guess you should find something else to do for the next hours :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Wow. Ok. Instead of calling me out you change my message. That’s cool. you guys DO realize you just screwed over… lets see, 1, 2, about 90% of the server? Just call me out on it instead of doing that :/ though it is nice the server performance is better <3

Yeah we know a lot of users have used the wind generators. But every one of those is a tile entity and as they produce only very little amounts of energy users started to create loads of those. As i said we removed close to 4000 of those.
If they would only be used when starting out on the server and changed for some more reasonable energy sources after enough resources are accessible it would be fine, unfortunately most users just keep adding more and more wind generators.@Xi0ran no, of course he did not. I tried to make my editing very obvious :D

@tmax_hand better? If you are not the guy for jokes, i won’t do it again. (Its usually a good sign if staff members je_rk (<- why is this filtered anyways) you around a little ;), there is a german saying which roughly translates to “the ones who love each other like to tease/taunt/chaff each other”, i wouldn’t go as far as love but we do like you)

I wouldn’t mind if it was someone like Xi0ran or Bent doing it but J4kee frankly I don’t know u that well and it really pisses me off when people call me stupid its fine now though I don’t care that much just forget about it.

@JoshDeChamp Basically yes, the issue is that so many people were breaking the rules by not building them efficient and conservative on server performance which ended up lagging the whole server. As this was not a nice gaming experience we made this decision. This is hard, yes. But there are plenty ways to get energy without having energy, to get started again. If we would have kept things going as before the lag would have gotten even worse.

the problem is is they are STILL IN THE WORLD they just aren’t generating power.

@J4kee I’m sorry for the way I acted the other night, it just really gets on my nerves when people call me stupid at school and it just ticked me off for reasons I don’t really understand, but I was childish and rude, and I hope you forgive me for doing so. @Bent I totally understand why you had to remove them. It is not a problem for me anymore because I had some full energy cubes. But some Player had the problem, that they couldn’t access their ME System anymore and so they couldn’t build new energy :D

I am new on the server, and played a few hours, but after hours of
mining i was not able to find osmium to start with machines and others
since they need osmium … And it can´t be found in the normal, Farm or netherworld
for some reason :(
